Welcome to Lakair Lodge!! Catering to fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts since 1919.
A 10 acre property located on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing in the great Canadian Shield amidst the white pines and waterways of the old West River. You’ll find quiet water and a myriad of Islands in channels that extend for miles including a pass through “The Cut”, a historical logging route blasted through the Canadian Shield. The intricate channels and back water bays will keep any outdoor enthusiasts enthralled no matter what your passion.
The Lodge originally built by Lillian Cameron, remained in the Cameron Family until 2015 when it was purchased by the Anderson’s, long-time friends of the Cameron’s. Since then extensive renovations have been on going and all waterside cottages have been refurbished. In 2018-19 the Main Lodge was also renovated and now is the location of our new restaurant called “The Barbless Hook”. Join us for a meal or just to relax and enjoy the great views. The restaurant also has a large deck overlooking the West Arm. It is a great place to enjoy an evening cocktail and watch the sunset.
Unfortunately, the restaurant will not be operating in the 2024 Season…Keep posted for 2025!
The name “The Barbless Hook” is aimed at increasing awareness of the increased survival rates of young fish when released from a barbless hook. We are now encouraging anglers to use barbless hooks while fishing in Lake Nipissing. It will improve significantly the survival rate of all fish that are released and ensure a healthy fish population for future generations
Reservations at the Barbless Hook restaurant are encouraged.
Wally’s Diner also located in the Lodge is still in operation. Enjoy coffee, fresh baked goods or breakfast at Wally’s in the mornings. Referred to by many as the “Shake Shack” Wally’s offers up a true diner experience.
Unfortunately, the restaurant will not be operating in the 2024 Season…Keep posted for 2025!
Premium gas is available at our Marina along with bait ice and ice cream treats.
